It has been raining for a while and it is surely too cold for Southern Europe. Charlotte is smiling at the soaked crowd in front of her, occasionally leaning forward to ask one of the refugees<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0to repeat their name<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0as they stretch to pass ID papers up into the Portacabin.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Tonight<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0she is calmly running\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">the new arrivals procedure<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">at<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Moria<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\"> Reception Centre of the <a href=\"https:\/\/globalaidnetwork.org.uk\/camp-moria-lesvos\/\" target=\"_blank\">refugee camp in Lesbos<\/a>. Charlotte turns to ask why we are there. The longer story is one of <a href=\"https:\/\/agape.org.uk\/gain-projects\/\">travelling with\u00a0GAiN<\/a>\u00a0to put up tents with a team from Birmingham. The shorter answer is the same as hers &#8211; we are following Jesus.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">And He is there. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-364784c elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"364784c\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-30dda01\" data-id=\"30dda01\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7f72b2f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7f72b2f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">When I prayed about the wisdom of going to a holiday island in February at my own expense to somehow care for &#8216;foreigners and strangers&#8217; (Ephesians 2:19), I saw a picture in my mind of <a href=\"https:\/\/agape.org.uk\/how-can-anyone-believe-that-a-man-rose-from-the-dead\/\">Jesus standing in a breach<\/a> in a wire fence, with His arms out wide and people gathered in front of Him and behind Him, standing by their broken down tents. It was as if He was saying, &#8220;Well&#8230; I&#8217;m already here&#8230;&#8221;. As my husband later said, &#8220;I\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">realised<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0&#8216;Of course&#8217;&#8230;\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Of course<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0He is there. That&#8217;s just like Him, to be there.&#8221; <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">The whole week we were in the Camp we knew it was true. The new crowd is beginning to settle into the\u00a0arrivals\u00a0tent, so I go to sit at the Women&#8217;s Gate &#8211; on duty till\u00a0midnight in the Vulnerable Women&#8217;s Section, making sure no men enter the area. A young woman next to me is speaking French into her mobile phone,\u00a0so when she hangs\u00a0up\u00a0I\u00a0wade\u00a0in with my 1988 GCSE French skills. It goes\u00a0pretty well\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0I show her a bit of the Jesus film on my phone and she is glued to it, saying she too is a Christian. So not just foreigners and strangers here then, brothers and sisters in Christ are here too. Reflecting on this work, I say to a colleague that I wish we could share the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">g<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ospel with them more effectively\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">&#8211;\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">if only my Polish wasn&#8217;t so poor, or my school had offered Czech as well as French!\u00a0 Don&#8217;t worry, he says, you are BEING the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">g<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ospel out there. <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">It sounds good for a minute and then I disagree. I&#8217;m representing Jesus and loving people because He loves them, and me. Those that discover Jesus have access to all the promises and provision of their inheritance in Christ.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">Forever.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">The three men I saw come off the streets, walk away from addiction and find jobs were the three that discovered Jesus for themselves. <\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"none\">When we go, wherever the Lord is calling u<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">s<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">, let us be filled with joy and hope &#8211; we will discover Him there in person, in other Christians<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">,<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u00a0and powerfully available to transform anyone we meet.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section
